Sales Assistant - Books - WHSmith - Stansted Airport

Contract Type: Permanent

Working hours: 24 hours a week - Monday, Friday and Sun
Hourly Rate: £7.47 - £11.50

As a Books Sales Assistant, you'll work across our stores to update and manage our numerous book displays. You'll help with chart changes, stock replenishment and building imaginative displays. You'll also provide expert knowledge to our customers to help find the right product for them, along with making them aware of our fabulous promotions and exclusive items, enhancing experiences in such a fast-paced environment!
We have 9 shops within the Airport both Landside and Airside including – Coffee Shops, Huge Book departments in our biggest units, Tech and of course the gifting and express side of the business in all shops. WHSmith Stansted is the biggest grossing business in the company and is a great foot in the door for your first work experience, career pathway or simply getting some money in your back pocket!

As a Sales Assistant you’ll provide exceptional customer service and work independently or as part of a team to deliver our fantastic store standards. We want you, our customers, and our colleagues to be proud to share their journey with us.

Airport Requirements:

• 5 years continuous references – to gain an airport pass you will need to provide 5 years’ worth of either employment or education references without any gaps
• Criminal Records Bureau Check – to be completed by WHSmith if your application is successful
• Photographic ID i.e. passport or UK Driving Licence
