Job description

An experienced and driven Smart Home TechnologySales Consultant - B2C is needed to join our team at Avande Select based in London on a full-time basis. 

The successful individual must have a proven track record of selling Smart Home Technology solutions in the residential market. They must have a passion for technology and the associated IOT devices within the connected home.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate previous sales targets and KPIs and must be used to working with targets of new business in excess of £1-2m. 

The candidate must have the ability to commute within London and other client sites in the UK when needed.

Avande Select is a unique Smart Home Technology portal designed for the multi-dwelling unit housing sector. Avande Select enables any home, no matter what its value, to offer pre-designed technology specifically associated with the home through our industry-leading platform.

Select is currently being adopted by almost 47,000 homes, including the largest regeneration in Europe - Greenwich Peninsula, Argents Kings cross scheme and many, many more. 

About the Role

The role will be client-facing and consist of guiding homeowners through their pre-designed Home Technology solutions and discussing the benefits and the differences between the products displayed in the Avande Select portal.  

The successful candidate will be responsible for contacting the homeowners to arrange the meetings, which will be run either in person or on Zoom. There will be a need to liaise with Avande's B2B clients to obtain the homeowner's contact information. Due to this, the successful client will have a proven track record of prospecting, making sales calls and collating data. 

The applicant must have a keen interest in technology and products and will also be responsible for managing new suppliers alongside the procurement team and introducing new solutions to the business.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Presenting the technical solutions in an easy and understanding way to homeowners
  • Generating revenue through technology sales via the SELECT portal
  • Assisting the SELECT portal Manager with the technical descriptions and package reviews
  • Keeping in constant communication with the development agents so Avande are up to date with all homeowner contact info
  • Keeping up-to-date records in the company CRM of all homeowner conversations and activity
  • Regularly contacting all existing homeowners, promoting new products and sales.
  • Educating homeowners and company partners / associates with the available technology
  • Assisting the sales director with marketing plans and strategy
  • Providing daily reports of field sales success and communicating the Voice of the Customer (VOC) data to superiors.
  • Ongoing sales and account relationships with homeowners and project relationships
  • Establishing productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
  • Developing and implementing new sales initiatives, strategies and programmes to capture key demographics
  • Show home coordination, making sure all show home live dates are documented, creating sales proposals for show homes and making sure Avande Select is showcasing the technology in the show homes
  • Creating quotes for developers for day 1 and day 2 technology as well as the showhomes
  • Contacting the developers and real estate agents on a weekly basis to make sure the data is up to date
  • Creating a process for onboarding the developers with a step-by-step guide and key dates highlighted - then tracking the key dates to make sure the info is received in a timely and accurate way

Required Experience:

  • All above
  • Proven track record and knowledge of dealing with consumer technology solutions such as SONOS, B&O, Nest, Heatmiser, Networking, Ring DoorBell 

Desirable Experience and Knowledge of:

  • Lighting Control - Lutron Homeworks and RA2, KNX
  • Shades and window treatments - Lutron/ Crestron/ Silent Gliss
  • Home Cinema
  • Control Systems - Crestron, Savant and Control4
  • Networking - Draytek, Ruckus, Ubiquiti
  • KNX / HVAC / BMS experience would be a bonus
