Key accountabilities
We are currently recruiting for a Sales Development Executive for our Edinburgh office in a hybrid capacity. You will be responsible for:
- Identifying credit worthy new customers.
- Producing a programme of sales calls, both promotional and cold calls. Ensure contact with customers and prospects meet agreed targets.
- Building a positive relationship with customers to identify their needs and improve customer purchase frequency.
- Monitoring active/dormant/potential conversion ratios and continually improve upon these.
- The quality and upkeep of customer database/records/reports.
- Liaising with the Sales Manager and External Sales to ensure targets are achieved.
- Providing quotations and refreshed prices to customers, and ensure that these are followed up.
- Forward any QM (none conforming system) and payment queries to the Sales Manager.
- Ensure all sales enquiries are inputted into the KliCC system.
- Checking stock and raise customer orders in line with 'Kloeckner Metals UK site capabilities (lead-time, stock level, processing capacity etc.).
- Embrace and implement CLEAR sales training content.
- Maximising selling opportunities and ensure targets are achieved.
- Being the first point of contact for day to day customers and prospects.
- Pro-actively seeking and pursuing new business.
- Providing internal office support to External Sales team.
Relevant knowledge will include:
- Excellent communication/relationship building skills verbal and written.
- The ability to build a positive relationship with customers to identify their needs.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and e-mail.
- Experience of working as part of a high performing team.
