The company are offering £23-27k but if you have experience in a sales function within the freight industry they are willing to offer a higher salary based on specific experience.
Overview of the Sales Executive:
The primary function of the Sales Executive is to sell customer freight solutions on behalf of the business. The position will involve a high volume of cold calling and new business prospecting as well as customer interactions, customer service and account management.
Responsibilities Include:
- Proactive in initiating sales calls to prospective or current clients
- Prospect for leads and perform cold-calling to build a pipeline of businesses
- Supervise accounts daily to retain existing relationships
- Responsible for price and service negotiation with customers and carriers
- Responsible for creating sales goals to aid in achieving targets
- Relationship building with clients and prospects
- Nurture new sales leads to secure business
- Responsible for offering quotes to current and prospective clients
- Carry out research to identify companies not currently doing business with the organisation
The successful Sales Executive will have:
- Freight, shipping or logistics sales experience is a very strong advantage to the role
- Strong track record for delivering successful sales experience in personal selling, telephone sales, and customer service
- Sociable personality with great relationship building skills
- Knowledge of sales CRM
