As a part of a consortium of individually owned courier companies working together with the same IT systems, operating procedures and identity, they form the largest independently owned courier network in the world and this enables them to deliver consistently too hard to reach destinations.
The network was founded in 1972 in the UK and USA and has expanded to a presence in approximately 160 countries which service a further 40 countries, growing delivery capacity to 200 countries and territories throughout the world. There are 6 strategically placed international hubs within the network
Due to expansion, our client are now looking for a dynamic solution solver to join their UK Sales Team.
You'll be based in the Manchester or Leeds area and have international experience in e-commerce or courier and understanding of DAP, DDU, IOSS and most importantly, how to give the best customer & consumer experience possible. Join their network of over 190 countries providing complete answers to all international distribution, customs, imports, and cross boarder delivery.
Main Duties
- Assist company growth by introducing and developing new and existing business.
- Qualify sales leads and make appointments with prospect customers
- Establish the needs of prospect customers, develop and present compelling service and commercial solutions
- Work closely with Operations and Customer Service colleagues to ensure new business is successfully implemented
- Meet sales targets. Annual target new business £1m.
- Update the CRM system daily
- Maintain working relationships with existing clients
- Attend training and develop relevant knowledge skills
Key Skills
- Strong experience within in a similar role in the logistics and preferably the International Corier or E-Commerce sector
- Interpersonal and people management skills
- Outstanding negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues and address complaints
- Good computer skills
- Ability to perform sales presentations effectively
- To be persistent in pursuit of own targets
- Looking for a self starter and someone who can think on their feet
- A complete and up to date 5 year work history for security checks
