Sales Manager – Aerial Work Platforms (AWP)
£58k + OTE

Reporting: to the national sales director
Job Summary: The Sales Manager at AWP will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding the market presence of our client’s Aerial Work Platforms across the UK.
The ideal candidate will understand the construction and equipment rental industries and demonstrate exceptional leadership and business development skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Develop and implement effective strategies to increase sales volume and market share in the AWP sector.
- Customer Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including construction companies, equipment rental firms, and industrial clients.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and understand the competitive landscape.
- Sales results: Introduce sales channel partners and end users to the brand and deliver annual sales of 200 units in 2024 together with the current sales channel partners.
- Sales Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve sales targets; provide training and development to enhance their skills.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of AWP products and services to provide practical solutions to customer needs.
- Sales Forecasting: Regularly review and report on sales performance and forecasts.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, product development, and customer service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and alignment with business goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the AWP or related industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in CRM software and sales reporting tools.
- Ability to travel extensively across the UK.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the construction or equipment rental industry.
- Technical knowledge of Aerial Work Platforms and related equipment.
- Strategic thinking with a results-driven mindset.
