Job Title: Sales Manager
salary circ. £50k + car allowance + 20% OTE (based on KPIs). Have 4 reports.
Ideally come from a sales background of selling a service. A finance background may be an advantage but not necessary.
Overall responsibility for the sales department, client development, client services and sales growth for the company.
Lead, develop and inspire the Sales Team and ensure that all staff are motivated and performing to the highest standards.
Serve as a business representative at major industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
Key role in the operation, smooth running, and success of the Glasgow office.
Operating Hours:
37.5 hours per week Flexibility is required at times; however, you will normally be required to work the following hours:
• Monday – Friday: 9:00am – 17:30pm
Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for the performance of the sales department and business development.
Responsible for the ensuring sales growth and hitting/exceeding annual sales targets
Provide leadership and on-the-ground support for the sales team
Develop and implement new sales initiatives and innovative strategies to foster growth and keep the company competitive
Develop objectives, policies, and operating procedures to enhance the structure of the department
Analyse and evaluate the effectiveness of sales procedures, methods, costs, and results to constantly look at ways to maximise our sales performance and growth
Conduct regular sales meetings to discuss and monitor pipelines and potential business
Present the department’s performance data and potential business pipelines to the Board
Recruit and train new sales employees, develop performance and conduct regular appraisals
Conduct or be involved in disciplinary investigations when necessary
Research and identify your own business opportunities ensuring a steady stream of opportunities - including new markets, growth areas or new ways of reaching existing markets
Create and deliver proposals and presentations
Have an excellent understanding of the businesses' services and be able to promote the business successfully
Oversee, review and nurture client services by monitoring KPIs and overall service
Ensure the CRM is continuously kept up to date
Assist with tenders
Attend seminars, conferences and events where appropriate
Keep abreast of trends and changes in the credit industry
Control and manage your workload effectively and efficiently and follow company processes.
Adhere to the rules and policies set out by the company and its regulators.
Remain flexible and committed within a fast-paced environment demonstrating an ability to handle multiple tasks with a proactive approach.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Education • Good level of general education to GCSE’s or GNVQ/NVQ qualification or equivalent
Business Experience • Strong sales background with proven track record.
You have a minimum of 5 years in a sales role, driving growth
You are a sales leader with a proven track record of driving top line results
Strong knowledge of collections industry, including TCF, FCA compliance
