Sales Order Processing Assistant

Salary: £30,000 – £33,000 Per Year + £1,800 in KPI Bonuses

Our long-term client is looking for a Sales Order Processing Assistant to join their small friendly team in Burgess Hill. Monday to Friday – Salary £30000 – £33000 per annum plus £1800 of KPI bonus. 

It would suit a person who enjoys a busy and varied role where you are dealing with inbound sales enquiries (it is not a call centre!!), providing information, sending out samples and putting together quotes. You will also be involved with working closely with the sales team and managing the whole process through to delivery and submitting of the invoice.

Core Responsibilities

This is a sales administrational role with additional Order Processing responsibilities.  The main focus of this role is the sales administration; however, you will also be required to handle a limited number of current orders to relieve the pressure on the Order Processing team.

Key Skills

  • Highly organised and able to cope with pressure.
  • Attention to detail but not at the detriment of speed.
  • Ability to understand client needs.
  • Learn about suppliers and how to create quotations (training will be provided)
  • Proficient in the use of all standard Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel etc)
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate and interact at all levels of business.
  • To be able to function in an open office environment without distraction.

Tasks

  • Filter incoming enquiries and respond professionally & promptly if senior sales team not available.
  • Take a client brief and produce an accurate quote.
  • To assist with other sales tasks, for example sending out product samples
  • To manage sales managers inbox of view of freeing up his time to focus on higher value opportunities.
  • Provide holiday cover for other members of the sales team.
  • Receiving an order from the sales team and managing it through the process to delivery and submitting of invoice
  • This includes liaising with supplier and then obtaining proof sign-off from client.
  • Taking all the various steps to ensure products are of top quality and suppliers are able to deliver on time to the client.
  • In the event of a client complaint or question to liaise with supplier and settle and questions relating.
  • Taking responsibility for despatch and fulfilment of orders and liaison with couriers
  • Provide holiday cover for other members of the Order Processing team.
