About the role:
To support the store manager to deliver sales budget by providing exceptional customer service, engaging with customers and striving to hit store targets in both sales and conversion. To ensure that the customer remains the number 1 priority at all times. To encourage team work through effective communication with in the store manager and other members of the team. To work with the retail manager and other members of the team to make a positive contribution to the store, feeding back ideas to help drive sales and improve profit in line with our vision and values.
Key Responsibilities to help us achieve our vision:
- Support the delivery of sales budget by engaging the team to be sales focused, working on ATV and conversion in order to hit targets.
- Is proactive and communicates to Retail Sales Manager ideas to drive sales, correct poor performance.
- Ensure all banking activities are followed, takings are accurately accounted for and banked on a regular basis through Loomis system.
- Ensure health and safety and security of all staff and customers is a priority at all times, and that required audits are carried out weekly and recorded.
- Encourage team work within the store and foster a culture of continuous improvement,
- Ensure customers are greeted when entering the store within two minutes. And that you are demonstrating all aspects of the YATD training in store. Striving to give the customer exceptional customer service. Is aware of the store target and conversion and ATV targets. Ensure the customer remains the number one priority at all times, in line with our vision and values.
- Ensure all stock in the store is accurately priced, with strong POS to promote our offers, with adequate stock levels. Report any low stocks to manager and if needed support team by placing orders in a timely manner.
- Ensure incoming stock is accurately booked in on the system.
- Get involved in merchandising the store support the manager to ensure displays are commercial and have impact and each range is on the correct space. Feeding back to the manager any ideas to improve.
- Work with store team to deliver store objectives, support the manager, looking for ways to continually improve performance.
- Establish further training needs with store manager to aid continuous development.
- Proactive encourage customers to sign up to our mailing list.
- To assist with regular mini and half yearly stocktakes, ensuring stock is accurately counted.
- Open and close store as business needs during manager/deputies absence or under manager’s instruction.
