Sales support (Commercial)
We’re seeking a dynamic Sales Support person to join the Commercial Support team at a leading steel stockholder and service company based in Bradford. You’ll be reporting to an experienced member of the Commercial Team where there will be substantial opportunities for skill development within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and nurture strong client relationships.
- Promptly respond to customer quotations, ensuring optimal value for money.
- Source non-stocked products, negotiate prices, and execute purchase orders.
- Maintain visibility of customer requirements, ensuring efficient order processing.
- Develop in-depth product knowledge and understand quality requirements.
- Ensure the smooth progression of orders, with involvement in tender preparation.
- Maintain accurate inventory and certification records.
- Actively contribute to complaint resolution and support the team during peak periods.
Essential Skills:
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in various IT systems, with a preference for advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Effective multitasking and self-management skills.
- Attention to detail coupled with a strategic perspective.
- Ability to work well under pressure and collaborate within a team.
Desirable Experience:
- Prior experience in commercial management or customer-focused sales.
- Knowledge of sales, procurement, and the steel industry (training provided).
Competitive Salary: £25,000-£26,000 DOE.
Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
