Job Title: Salesforce Analyst

Salary/Grade: £52,300 - £58,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Location : Peterborough (hybrid – 3 days a week in office)

As the Salesforce Analyst, you will work with various business teams, key implementation partners and internal enterprise groups to provide oversight and technical leadership in the use of Salesforce, specifically Salesforce Service Cloud. You will work within the IT group to help sustain the value delivered through of the use of existing platforms and provide technical guidance on how to realise new business requirements. This is an exciting opportunity as the organisation looks to grow capability in support of a new product range, looking for ways to exploit technology to deliver business process changes and risk mitigation.

In this role, you will solve business problems and opportunities through technology by developing an understanding of the business objectives, and working with the broader IT community to realise the most effective solution by evolving existing applications or looking for new solutions that complement the existing architecture. You will be working as the Salesforce Analyst, collaborating with global IT teams for application deployment projects that may involve multiple infrastructure components or applications.

What you will do:

  • Oversee development of new business capability within Salesforce and supporting customer facing solutions.

  • Facilitate workshops and backlog meetings to refine business requirements to clearly defined ability to statements.

  • Using existing knowledge of Salesforce, support by formal and on-the-job training and with the support of broader team, establish options to meet business requirements.

  • Produce sandbox-based proof of concepts, Figma based prototypes and wireframes to illustrate and gain acceptance for proposed solutions.

  • Work with IT delivery team to execute changes within Salesforce to meet business expectations.

  • Build understanding of broader business community and look for replication opportunities that maximise the use of the Salesforce investment.

  • Work with support teams to understand ongoing problem tickets and risks that may need to be prioritised into the backlog.

  • Refine hybrid Agile development methodology to shorten time to delivery, whilst not compromising quality.

What you have:

Requirements Analysis

Level Extensive Experience:

  • Ability to play an active role in gathering business requirements, including running requirements gathering workshops, building prototypes/ proof of concepts, and building out user stories for broader development team to implement.

  • Knowledge of proven expertise with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Salesforce CPQ.

  • Knowledge of development tools and processes that will aid in formulating use cases and designing project requirements.

  • Able to successfully complete all major activities, tasks and deliverables pertaining to the requirement analysis stage.

  • Ability to grasp the requirements of clients from diverse sectors and translate/present those demands into a compelling vision and roadmap for our clients.

System and Technology Integration

Level Extensive Experience:

  • Salesforce implementation experience across the whole Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

  • Able to design and develop new business capability within Salesforce and supporting customer facing solutions.

  • Support the knowledge of how Salesforce can integrate with a broader IT architecture.

  • The ability to Identify and quantify risks of proposed alternatives to a system or technology integration initiative.

  • Advises others in how to integrate projects across multiple technologies.

System Testing:

Level Extensive Experience:

  • Able to support system and software testing and when required design, plan and execute system testing to ensure a quality product all at stages of the system life cycle.

  • Coaches end users on the development of test data and test scenarios for system validation.

Problem solving:

Level Extensive Experience:

  • Ability to apply critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills while managing various requests.

Top candidates will also have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication as well as presentation skills.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of IT Service Management and supporting processes.

  • Knowledge of web service architecture.

  • Ability to provide direction to an offshore support / development team.

Additional information:

Up to 25% travel, depending on project requirements – this will be beneficial to develop and strengthen knowledge of the broader enterprise as well as to attend workshops and vendor hosted events.
