Position
We are looking for a Salesforce System Administrator to join a team of two others and help support our global Salesforce user base. The role covers all aspects of system administration, support, setup, and vendor liaison. Reporting to the Salesforce Product Manager you will be a key part of a small team maintaining and developing the platform to get utmost value from the system.
The Salesforce System Administrator will:
- Support and administer our Salesforce, DocuSign and Conga environments.
- Investigate and resolve support tickets logged by all users of the system.
- Escalate tickets to our Salesforce support partner and work with them through to resolution.
- Create and manage user accounts, profiles, and permissions within the Salesforce platform. This includes controlling access to data and functionalities based on user roles and responsibilities.
- Maintain the product catalogue and associated rate cards.
- Customise Salesforce to meet the organisation’s needs by configuring fields, page layouts, record types, and workflows. This may involve creating custom objects and fields as well.
- Implement and maintain automation processes using workflows, process builder, and other automation tools. This can include automating business processes, approvals, and alerts.
- Work with the Product Manager to establish and enforce governance policies to ensure the responsible and secure use of the Salesforce platform. This includes defining and enforcing data retention policies.
- Test new versions, patch releases and code changes.
- Be a key part of our ongoing vision to improve and adapt Salesforce for our user base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key departments and individuals (Finance, Sales Managers, Commercial Directors and Divisional MDs).
- Co-ordinate the rollout of new features with our Product Trainer.
- Participate in the change management process for all three systems.
- Create and enhance the technical documentation for each of our systems.
Requirements
- Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and CPQ.
- Ability to write clear documentation including internal technical reference processes and user-facing guides.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communication with all levels of the business including the Senior Management Team.
- Technically proficient in areas of product support, product development and solution building.
