SalarySample Management Technician
One of our top clients is looking to recruit a technician to work as a part of the Sample Management Team. The role is based in a sample storage facility and is initially for a three months contract with the possibility of an extension.
About the role:
The work will mainly be focused on the transfer of a large collection of biological research samples into a new -70C storage system. Samples will need to be re-organised and tracked using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
The role is relatively physical since will involve moving sample boxes and racking in and out of freezers.
The role may also involve assisting with other sample auditing and re-organisation projects, and possibly the use of the Unit van to collect samples from other sites.
Requirements:
- Lab experience would be preferred.
- Experience with Outlook,Word and Excel.
- Knowledge and experience of working with biological samples and Human Tissue Authority (HTA).
- Other beneficial experience would be working with cold temperature storage (-70C) and working with Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
- A full UK driving license would be an advantage.
