SalaryOur client, a global investment bank, is actively seeking a Sanctions AVP to join their collaborative team in London. The chosen candidate will be responsible for assisting the business holistically with the Sanctions compliance programme. This is a brilliant opportunity for a Sanctions specialist to join a very well-respected firm in dynamic role.
Responsibilities:
- As Sanctions AVP, you will work with the EMEA region in complying with applicable financial and trade sanctions as well as meeting regulatory requirements / expectations.
- Assist the provision of sanctions training to key stakeholders to ensure they understand and comply with the Bank's requirements.
- Provide support to the holistic Sanctions compliance programme, where required.
- Escalate effectively to the EMEA Head/Deputy Head of Sanctions Advisory, any other matters that require further guidance.
- Assist the sanctions functions on strategic project initiatives to the Sanctions compliance program in EMEA.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated understanding of key sanctions regimes / financial crime.
- Inquisitive, motivated, and highly trustworthy with an ability to work with the minimum of direct supervision, experienced in dealing with highly confidential material.
- Experience in a similar Sanctions AVP role previously within financial services.
- Have the ability to independently understand multiple strands of data and documentation.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of making logical assessments based upon factual data.
