SAP BASIS Consultant

Our client is currently looking for a Senior SAP BASIS Brownfield conversion expert for an immediate start, who can help them in a ECC to S/4HANA Migration.

• Long term: 6 months +.
• Rate: 400 USD per day (plus travel and accommodation expenses).

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SAP BASIS Brownfield Conversion Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in SAP BASIS administration, preferably in Utilities industry, with a focus on brownfield conversions. This individual will play a key role in leading and executing brownfield conversion project for our clients, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions to their operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Brownfield Conversion Planning: Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and develop comprehensive brownfield conversion plans. Assess existing SAP landscapes and identify potential challenges and risks associated with the conversion process.
2. Technical Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert in SAP BASIS administration, with a deep understanding of SAP system architecture, databases, and operating systems. Configure and optimize SAP environments to support brownfield conversions, including system upgrades and migrations.
3. Project Leadership: Lead brownfield conversion project from initiation to completion, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables effectively. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including SAP functional consultants, developers, and infrastructure specialists, to ensure project success.
4. Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks throughout the brownfield conversion process. Develop contingency plans and strategies to address any issues or challenges that may arise during the project implementation.
5. Documentation and Reporting: Document all aspects of the brownfield conversion process, including technical specifications, configurations, and testing procedures. Generate regular progress reports for stakeholders and provide updates on project status, milestones, and key performance indicators.
6. Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing and validation of SAP systems post-conversion to ensure functionality, performance, and data integrity. Implement best practices and quality assurance standards to deliver high-quality solutions to clients.
7. Knowledge Transfer and Training: Provide training and knowledge transfer to client teams and internal staff on brownfield conversion methodologies, tools, and best practices. Share expertise and insights to empower teams to effectively manage SAP environments post-conversion.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in SAP BASIS administration, with a focus on brownfield conversions.
• Strong expertise in SAP system upgrades, migrations, and technical implementations.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP NetWeaver architecture, databases (e.g., Oracle, HANA), and operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows).
• Experience with SAP tools and technologies, including SAP Solution Manager, SAP HANA Studio, and SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams.
• Proven leadership capabilities, with experience leading complex SAP project from initiation to completion.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and implement effective solutions.
• SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate) are preferred but not required.
