SAP Developer / Architect is sought by thriving London Market insurance organisation. Within this role, you will be involved in the organisations digitalisation initiatives combining technology innovations, the execution of change projects and the implementation and maintenance of applications and platforms in the areas of Business Intelligence, Warehousing and Planning. This is a fantastic opportunity that would ideally suit either an experienced Architect or a SAP Developer who is looking to step-up into architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and ensure consistency across multiple business planning projects based on SAP SAC Planning and/or BPC
• Design and implement full stack solution architectures for Business Planning applications, Business Intelligence, Datawarehouse and Financial Management Reporting
• Conduct centralised, customising training support to business on functional aspects of the planning solution
• Support the planning cycle end to end and enhance the functionality of the planning tool.
• Balance out functional, service quality, compliance and systems management requirements in a complex Business Intelligence environment characterised by very high data volumes
• Support of the strategic direction of technology investments to support the development of the enterprise architecture and maximise the return on technology investment in the context of BI, datawarehousing and Business Planning
• Identify market trends in the area of Business Intelligence and Business Planning and support of the organisations business development using new future technologies in close alignment with the Enterprise Architecture Team
• Be a technical end-to-end Project-lead including consulting, conception, prioritisation and steering of development activities considering the teams capacity and timely as well as budgetary constraints
• Communicate architecture objectives and collaborate with IT but also with business stakeholders
• Establishment and further development of an efficient Run organisation in cooperation with our partners
• Ability to understand functional requirements from business and bring them to technical design

Key Requirements:

• Either previous experience in an SAP Architect role OR experience in a SAP development role and the desire to move into an architecture opportunity
• Experience in technical development using well-known data integration, data warehousing, reporting/dashboarding and Planning technologies in the SAP universe (BW/4, HANA 2.0, SAP IP/BPC, SAC Planning and DWC)
• Experience with finance and business planning tools
• Solid knowledge in data management, common database technologies and DWH/reporting (cloud) solutions, as well as data cataloging/master data management preferably in SAP environment
• Enthusiasm for technical problems and excitement for complex challenges and issues around data modeling and data flow implementation; knowledge of regulatory (insurance and banking) reporting is an advantage
• Experience in dealing with different stakeholders; ability to develop alternative proposals or compromise solutions whenever financial or business conditions do not allow for optimal solutions
