SAP Functional Specialist (S/4 | ECC | Supply chain)

My client based in Hertfordshire are looking to recruit an experienced SAP candidate for their internal team.

You can work from home 3 days a week.

Main purpose of the job:

With the aim to help the business to prepare for ERP conversion and transformation, the role will be responsible for ensuring business ready for the conversion and transformation & providing hands-on and technical support.

The focus areas will be Supply Chain, Production, Quality, and relevant supporting business processes.

Main duties:

S/4 and SAP ECC functional and technical expertise utilisation to prepare for S/4 conversion:

• Utilise S/4 and SAP ECC knowledge to perform a thorough impact assessment on all simplification and compatibility items to help the business understand the magnitude of change and deliver readiness action plan.
• Utilise S/4 and SAP ECC knowledge to work with key business teams & SMEs & perform readiness activities to prepare for the conversion from SAP ECC to SAP S/4.
• Utilise SAP ECC functional and technical expertise to troubleshoot issues and provide resolution, incl. interfaces between SAP and other business systems.
• Utilise SAP ECC and S/4 functional and technical expertise with a business context to suggest upgrades and improvement for system security, data integrity and productivity improvement.
• Collaborate with business teams & IT architect to map existing business processes, systems, interface data flows and dependencies across the ERP system landscape and peripheral systems with the objective of providing a comprehensive understanding of the “as is” model.
• Establish high-level Business-Readiness plan for bridging gaps between the “as is” and “to be” models, including but not limited to roles, knowledge, and documentation. Drive execution especially for pre-deployment readiness items.

Recommended experience/understanding of:

• Significant expertise in both SAP S/4 HANA and SAP ECC solutions.
• Significant experience implementing S/4 in Supply chain and production.
• Significant knowledge of SAP interface management.
• Expertise and hands-on system configuration, testing, user support, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in project management and stakeholder management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Profound ability to solve complex problems and drive to completion.
