About the role

Hargreaves Lansdown (HL) are now recruiting for a Scanning Operative to join the scanning department in which you will be responsible for scanning the paper documents that come into the office. The team is responsible for the scanning and indexing of documents, liaising with all business areas including our administration and accounts teams. The business is heavily dependent on the documents being scanned quickly and accurately so you'll be playing a pivotal role within the company.

What you'll be doing

  • Scanning and indexing of client related documentation according to priorities set by the Manager in agreement with business departments within a timely manner
  • Putting records into the retention system and forwarding to processing teams
  • Dealing with queries from business departments and assisting in the progression of work not yet processed onto the imaging system as and when required
  • Use post room equipment such as the franking and stuffing machine when needed/appropriate.
  • Printing and compiling client information packs/literature to be sent out when requested
  • Assist in processing special deliveries for postal correspondence for time sensitive letters

About you

  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but training will be provided
  • Previous experience operating palette trucks is desirable
  • Computer literacy is essential as we use different systems
  • Excellent communication skills are required as you'll be liaising with different parts of the business
  • Good attention to detail

Interview process

The interview process for this role is a one stage in person interview at our Bristol office.

Working Schedule

We are looking for a Scanning Operative to join our team, based in Bristol head office, BS1 5HL. This role is permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday working 7:30am - 16:00pm with a 1 hour lunch.

Salary

The salary on offer for this position is circa £22,000 per annum depending on experience.
