Job description

Scheduling Analyst

Monday - Friday, Flexitime, 37.5 hours, Permanent

Salary: £29,366 plus 5% bonus possiblity 

Location: Remote (Required travel to Manchester once a month) 

As a Scheduling Analyst you will be required to undertake the production and delivery of resource plans for work types across Customer Operations from 1 week to 3 years' out. Also, to support the Resource Planning teams to plan and schedule activity optimally thereby increasing the profitability of the business, remaining committed to treating customers fairly.

Scheduling Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Create a safe environment with the aim of achieving a zero-incident workspace and ensuring that teams take responsibility for themselves and each other.
  • Responsible for the production and development of resource plans/models/processes to forecast staffing levels, service levels and other key performance indicators.
  • Lead discussions with key stakeholders to ensure inputs into planning models are up to date and reflect latest operational requirements.
  • Responsible for the impact assessment of risks and opportunities to the plan from and engage with relevant parties to ensure these are effectively communicated.
  • Review performance against plan and engage with operational stakeholders providing analysis of performance against plan.
  • Provide a link between Forecasting, Long Term & Change in translation of outputs from these teams into an operationally deliverable plan.
  • Generate and support the implementation of ideas for improved team outputs that engage key stakeholders and benefit our customers.
  • Organise, upskill and support RP projects that drive the business strategy.
  • Design, maintain and develop governance processes across the Resource Planning teams.
  • Adhere to the Competence and Training procedures to promote a culture where customers are treated fairly and are properly informed.
  • Ensure data held is compliant with DPA policies and sharing of any staff data is closely monitored and controlled.
  • Ensure (customer related) information systems are operated to the required standard to maintain accurate and secure records.

  • A strong analytical background and excellent Microsoft Office skills are essential.
  • Good understanding of resource planning principles and practices
  • Experience of working across a wide group of stakeholders
  • Highly numerate with good accuracy and attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of our internal customers and how to meet their needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to produce clear, concise documents and analysis using PowerPoint and Excel to facilitate comprehension and clear decision making.
  • Performs effectively when faced with time pressures, adversity, disappointment, or opposition.
  • Displays an ongoing commitment to learning and self-improvement.
