Responsible for:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our existing team at one of our flagship housing schemes in Hastings Town Centre. We are looking for a welcoming and confident individual, who is a proactive team player with a can-do attitude. The ideal candidate will have a professional attitude and possess excellent customer service skills. This role is within a team working a day shift on a rotating shift pattern, 8am - 6.30pm, 4 days on and 3 days off (weekends are included in this shift pattern).
Job purpose:
An organised and confident individual is required to join this fast paced, innovative organisation, who are currently expanding and provide temporary accommodation on behalf of local councils in the South East. Our flagship building in Hastings aims to assist the Council's Housing Department with local homeless households and individuals.
Duties:
Ability to work with and support adults that may be vulnerable or with complex needs.
Ability to maintain professional boundaries.
Complete property and room inspections and basic client welfare checks for clients within the scheme and wider housing stock across Sussex -a pool car will be provided for these work-based activities.
Ensure properties are tenancy ready.
Complete Sign-In and Sign-Out paperwork with residents as they join or leave the scheme.
Report maintenance queries from residents to our Repairs Team.
Light cleaning and potential very light handyperson maintenance of properties if required.
Update maintenance job sheets once work is completed.
Ensure that various property problems are dealt with effectively and in appropriate timescales.
Maintain excellent communication with team members and the local council through phone calls and emails.
An understanding of confidentiality and data protection requirements.

Person Specification:
Highly organised and a positive work ethic.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Have basic computer skills.
Strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Customer service focused.
Confident with client facing responsibilities.
Willingness to work flexibly where required.
You must pass a DBS check and be a UK citizen or free to work in the UK. Evidence of this will be requested.
You must hold a full clean driver's licence.
