School Business Manager Location - Worthing Contact Type - Permanent, Full Time (52 weeks per year) Salary - £33,945 - £40,221 Start Date - Feb 2024 or sooner Reed Education are supporting a primary school based in Worthing with this very exciting School Business Manager opportunity who are going through a period of change and growth. The role will involve working very closely with a highly supportive headteacher and line managing a team of 4 administration staff. The right candidate for this role would be someone who has worked in a similar role and has experience managing change. As the School Business Manager, you will be an integral part of the SLT team and will be expected to contribute extensively to decision making surrounding the school's strategy. Main Duties are as follows - Responsible for line managing office and site staff and ensure they perform well within their roles. Lead on all financial matters within the school, under the direction of the headteacher. Develop the strategy of the school alongside the headteacher, working very closely to achieve goals. Monitor the school's budget Ensure that the school acts within and is compliant with employment law Liaise with central HR to provide support and guidance to all staff members Oversee the recruitment, onboarding and induction processes. Responsible for the delivery of administrative support within the school To be considered for this role, you ideally should have the following - Extensive experience working in a similar role within an education environment. Successful leadership and management experience, especially managing change and people management Knowledge of budgeting. Strategic mindset is essential for this role so you can help support and guide the school.
