School Business Manager
Temporary 2 days per week

Successful candidate will actively participate in the model and promotion of the school values and ethos being responsible for strategic planning in relation to the business and support services of the school including all financial implications.
Generate and co-ordinate new income streams which are supportive of the school ethos.
Ensuring that the school always uses its resources effectively and efficiently.
Management of DFE Grant funds and to produce monthly reports and populate management information spreadsheets.
Organisation skills are essential for the planning and development, monitoring of support services and school procedures and policies. Support to Governors and attending Senior Leadership meetings as appropriate with minute keeping as required.
Able to lead a team of administrative support staff and leaders to ensure and support communication and development within the school office team. Direct line management responsibility for team leaders in finance, premises, and administration.
To undertake any other duties as appropriate to the grade of the post as requested by the Headteacher.
Finance and Business
Key Responsibilities
To implement the financial decisions of the Headteacher and Governing Body.
To advise the Headteacher on investment and financial policy, preparing appraisals for future projects and for the development of a long term financial strategy for the future development of the school.
In conjunction with the Headteacher, create the detailed budget for grant projects.
To use financial management information, especially benchmarking tools, to identify areas of relative spend, assess trends, and directly advise accordingly.
Monitor and control income and expenditure in relation to the budget including the schools breakfast club and potential after school club in conjunction with the Headteacher.
To assist in the preparation of all financial returns for the central and local government agencies within statutory deadlines.
To give advice to the Headteacher and when necessary, the Governors on salary assessment, sickness, maternity and paternity procedures, redundancy, capability, disciplinary issues, and any matters of dismissal.
To be responsible for the recruitment, induction, training, and professional development of all support staff.
To advise governors on the policies needed to comply with all employment legislation.
To be responsible for the Performance Management of non-teaching support staff.
To have a good knowledge of SIMS System
