£20 per hour umbrella, PAYE available
To start in September 2024 (interviews to be held before the end of July)
DBS within 12 months or on the update service
Our client, a leading provider of careers advice in schools and colleges across London and the South East, is seeking a Level 6 Careers Advisers for a school in Hillingdon.
You will need a DBS within 12 months or on the update service in order to apply.
- Produce tailored careers information, advice and guidance to meet the needs of young people including vulnerable groups and those with special educations needs and disabilities (SEND), taking part in reviews and contributing to the education health and care plans as required.
- Produce action plans and record information where appropriate.
- Plan and deliver small/large group sessions/events on a\ range of careers-related topics
Knowledge Essential
- Will have L6 careers guidance.
- An understanding of and a commitment to, equality of opportunity for all Knowledge of the local labour market and issues relating to learning and employment
- Demonstrate an up to date knowledge of legislation and statutory requirements of working with young people
- Detailed knowledge of relevant developments in Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance
Experience Essential
- Will have worked with young people preferably in a school setting
- Will have worked in a collaborate team setting and built/maintained effective relationships
- Will have experience in CIAG in any setting
Skills Essential
- Effective communication skills including written and verbal and be able to relate to a wide range of people and organisation
