Salary: Grade 5, £14,366 - £15,896 per annum. £12.80 - £14.16 per hour
25 hours per week, term time plus 6 days working 39.20 weeks per year plus 14 hours staff engagement
Temporary until 14th June 2024 to cover Maternity leave
Your role:
The main duties will be to supervise the catering staff and catering operations and manage the kitchen and its resources to ensure a quality service is provided for the complete running of the catering services for the school. You will be handling cash handling, using a till, banking and cash reconciliation. You will be compliant with Health and Safety, Food safety, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) and manual handling.
About you:
You will be a good cook who is passionate about the role and dedicated to providing the best service possible to staff, children and visitors to the school. You will have great customer care skills in order to deal with a range of people and will promote a professional image at all times, which is representative of the school and the service. You’ll be an advocate for the development and promotion of the service and will relish the opportunity to work with managers to maximise profitability wherever possible.
