St. Joseph's is an over-subscribed, Catholic, one-form entry primary school, in the south of Birmingham. We are looking to appoint a cleaner, to commence as soon as possible. They will be hardworking and committed to providing an excellent cleaning service. Previous experience is preferred but not essential.
Duties include:
- to arrive for work on time and wear the correct clothing for the tasks you will undertake during your shift
- to sign in and out of the building
- to empty all waste bins and remove to the appropriate rubbish bin outside
- to clean all surface areas e.g. desk, shelves, filing cabinet etc. without disturbing people or their belongings
- to damp wipe all highs and low
- to clean all interior glass e.g., glass panels in door, partition wall, glass table, reachable windows etc.
- to vacuum/sweep all areas and mop any hard floors
- clean male and female toilets, washbasins and tiles etc
- replenish toilet rolls and hand towels
- to ensure all task are carried out with due regard to Health and Safety including putting out safety signs were necessary
- operate water flushing system when assigned to do so
- report any defects seen which are likely to affect security i.e. broken/cracked window, etc. to the Site Manager
- other relevant cleaning jobs around the building and on grounds as directed by Sites Manager and school staff
