Overview

Here at the Highcrest Academy, we are looking for a Matron to join our amazing team. If you like a role where no two days are the same then read on. You will take responsibility for minor illness and injuries, delivering initial low-level care focusing on student well-being and health. Working alongside internal and external providers in matters related to health education.

Term time only

Salary Type: Bucks pay

Salary details: £24,310 - £26,295 pro rata which equates to £18,110.95 - £19,589.77

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: 32.5 hours per week – 8.20am – 3.30pm + half hour lunch - Term Time only plus one week for INSETs

About the role

We are looking for a First Aider to take responsibility for the assessment of minor illness and injuries, delivering initial, low-level care focusing on student well-being and health. In addition, you will deal with the administration and storage of medicines and maintain appropriate records. You will be willing to contribute to staff training and support the pastoral team in matters related to health education. You will also administer visits by the school nurse and other health practitioners.

  • a common-sense approach when dealing with children and young adults
  • experience of First Aid (training can be updated if necessary)
