Contract: Temporary for one year
Salary: £22,737 - £23,114 (full time full year equivalent)
Actual Salary: £3853 - £3,917 per annum (Grade B)
Work Pattern: 7.5 hours per week, to be worked between 11.45 am – 1.15 pm, to suit the needs of the school, term time only

Role Overview:
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Midday Supervisor to work with our children at St Peter & St Paul’s RC Primary School. The main duties are to help create an atmosphere so that the mealtime and lunchtime play is a pleasant experience for the children and the staff; to take children who have minor accidents for first aid where necessary, and if first aid is not necessary, comforting and reassuring them. This will be a temporary post, for one year.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has the ability to relate well to children and adults
- Can establish a good rapport with the children in your care
- Has the ability to organise activities and play games with children
- Can listen to and communicate effectively with children using clear English
- Has a caring disposition and the ability to tend to and comfort sick/hurt children
- Be flexible, motivated and able to follow instructions and remain calm in difficult circumstances
- As well as being professional, be friendly, patient and understanding towards the students
- Can work constructively as part of a team
- Can mediate and resolve disagreements between children
- Be open to new ideas, have strong moral and ethical principles and values in line with our Mission Statement
- A great sense of humour
