The Governors of this Roman Catholic day school for pupils with autism, learning difficulties and complex needs are seeking to appoint an experienced, pro-active and dedicated Administrator who will join the School Office team on the next stage of its journey. This is a fantastic opportunity for a suitably experienced Administrator with a proven record of success.
Salary: GBP £28,282 - £29,777 (NJC Point Scale 16-19 £28,282 - £29,777 (Full time equivalent) Actual salary (term time only) approximately £24,038 - £25,309).
The post holder will report to the Admin organiser.
Job Purpose
- To provide a comprehensive and efficient administrative support to the School.
- To provide additional specific admin support to the School Business Manager and Headteacher.
- To work collaboratively with all staff and parents in order to support and promote pupil wellbeing.
- To welcome visitors to the School and to communicate with courtesy and clarity to all staff, pupils, parents/carers, visitors, outside agencies and the wider community, including answering general telephone and face to face enquiries.
- To undertake routine clerical and administrative support duties on behalf of individual members of staff and departments, in relation to the organisation of School activities.
- To undertake specific financial administration activities as directed by the School Business Manager.
- To provide general clerical and administrative support, for example; report collation, photocopying, filing, faxing and completing standard forms and returns to Government Bodies, LA’s and outside agencies and responding to routine correspondence.
- To maintain and update all administrative and information systems and processes as required, including retrieving and collating information to ensure delivery of a high-level administrative service.
- To produce lists, information and data as required, for example, pupil data and to maintain and collate pupil reports. To utilise SIMs and other financial software, including Xero for Education, to support the efficient maintenance of School data.
- To assist with School administrative duties relating to examination invigilation, where appropriate.
- Arrange meetings and events and take notes at meetings to a high standard.
- To collect and distribute incoming mail, dispatch outgoing mail as appropriate.
- To administer School registration procedures in line with statutory requirements.
