School Receptionist/Administrator
We are looking for an enthusiastic School Receptionist/Administrator who will collaborate with other members of the front office team at Ark Franklin to ensure the efficient and effective day-to-day running of the office, uphold the vision and ethos of the school, and provide excellent customer service to a range of stakeholders.
Experience of working with a school MIS and managing attendance would be advantageous. Please note that interviews will be held on a rolling basis, and we reserve the right to close the application process early. Early application is advised.
Reporting to: Office Manager
Contract: Permanent
Working Hours: 7:45am to 4pm or 8:30 to 4:45, Monday to Friday, term time + 3 weeks
Salary: Ark Support Band 4, Point 3 - 5 (£26,853 - £27,687 FTE)
Closing Date: 15 March :00
Responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out all administrative duties in a timely and efficient manner ensuring deadlines are met in order to maintain the efficient running of the school
- Monitoring access to the site, ensuring visitors sign in and out in accordance with safeguarding procedures
- Ensuring school communication is sent out in a timely manner
- Managing email inboxes and school communication systems
- Establishing and develop constructive relationships and communication with parents/carers, staff and outside agencies
- Supporting admin processes relating to the school census; FSM; parent/carer meetings; breakfast club bookings; Nursery admin and lunchtime payments.

Our ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of running effective administrative systems, preferably in a school environment
- Experience of data entry into databases and other IT systems
- Excellent communication, writing and editing skills
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Able to build relationships with a range of stakeholders and anticipate others' needs
- Able to manage several projects at once, prioritising accordingly to meet all deadlines
- Able to take ownership of tasks and work with minimal supervision
