This long standing client, a wonderful West London private school, is seeking a proficient and diplomatic School Secretary to act as the ‘face’ of the school and first point of contact for all who visit.
The right candidate will possess an interest in the welfare and development of children, be immaculately presented - with outstanding interpersonal skills. High proficiency in written and spoken English are required.
This Secretary / Coordinator should have a solid administrative background, be firm but approachable, adaptable, enthusiastic and reliable. They should be self-motivated, with excellent organisational skills. They must be able to work well under pressure and make decisions based on sound judgement.
Prior schools experience is beneficial, but not essential. DBS checking will be required for suitability in working with children.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- First point of contact for visitors, calls, families, and staff members
- Accurately collate, maintain and publish school calendar and diary
- Coordinate club timetable / attendance
- Overview of all school events / meetings and delegate responsibilities accordingly
- Manage the iSAMS, recording pupil rollover, and maintain pupil uniform lists
- General administration as required, i.e. support the academic team and answer day-to-day queries from parents and third parties
- Assist with the Duke of Edinburgh scheme.
- Maintain pupil / staff records for leadership team, including up-to-date staff and class timetables, and ensure parent contact information correct and validated as necessary.
Salary – £26-28k

Hours – 7:45am-5:15pm during term time / 9am-3pm during the school holidays
Holiday – 30 days holiday plus bank holidays, to be taken within school holiday time
