Christ The King Catholic Voluntary Academy has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and knowledgeable Site Manager to join our team. You will have previous premises management experience and will take responsibility for the care and maintenance of the premises.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 37 hours per week, all year round. The working week is Monday to Friday with occasional out of hours work where required.
The post holder will work between the hours of 6am to 6pm Monday to Friday.
About us:
Christ The King is a wonderful school with the children at its heart. Due to the forthcoming retirement of our current caretaker, we are looking to appoint somebody to this new and exciting role. You will work a basic 37 hour week mornings and evenings and will be responsible for the security of the premises and its contents; compliance with legal regulations, building codes and approved codes of practise; operation of fire and burglar alarms; operation and suitability of lighting and heating; ensuring the effective cleaning of the premises; the maintenance and operation of plant; porterage; semi-skilled *maintenance duties; management of lettings and other duties arising from the use of the premises; management of contractors.
*Maintenance duties include basic repairs, painting and decorating, minor plumbing works, improvement, and refurbishments where the specific skills of a skilled craftsperson are not required.
Christ The King Catholic Voluntary Academy, based in Arnold, is an Ofsted rated Good school. We are part of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust, bringing together the 36 Catholic Primary and Secondary schools in Lincolnshire, Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire.
About the role:
As Site manager you will:
Effectively supervise and support cleaning services.
Work on own initiative and to demonstrate the ability to solve unexpected or new problems in a methodical, efficient manner.
Carry out maintenance tasks in a professional manner with health, safety and safeguarding at the fore.
Learn new skills and expand current skills and pass on knowledge and techniques to others.
Demonstrate good general interpersonal and communication skills.
Deal with conflicting demands and work flexibly.
Be a key player in ensuring the high standards of compliance are maintained and that facilities are safe and the best that they can be.
Be able to carry our building repairs.
Work closely with the Head Teacher, the Trust Director and the Trust Central Team, focussing on delivering high quality and safe learning and teaching environment.
Have knowledge of Health and Safety that is essential to this role as well as being able to communicate effectively.
