School Support Worker – Birmingham
Do you have experience working with young people? Are you passionate about helping young people overcome academic and social obstacles? This dynamic SEMH school is looking to add a School Support Worker to the team for an immediate start. This role requires a School Support Worker who has previous experience working with children and young people, ideally within a school, residential or youth centre setting.
As a School Support worker you will be delivering 1-2-1 support for children who have struggled to engage with education. There will be a mixture between classroom support, delivering intervention sessions and providing pastoral support. This school provides outstanding support for its students and is looking for a support superstar to join the team.
Job Role:

• Supporting on a 1-2-1 basis within small classes of students who are at risk of permanent exclusion
• Having a good understanding of challenging behaviours and SEMH needs
• Working as a Support Worker / Behavioural Support Assistant
• Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and beneficial for students
• Breaking down barriers to communication and managing behaviours
