This dynamic SEMH school is looking to add a School Support Worker to the team for an immediate start. This role requires a School Support Worker who has previous experience working with children and young people, ideally within a school, residential or youth centre setting.
As a School Support worker you will be delivering 1-2-1 support for children who have struggled to engage with education. There will be a mixture between classroom support, delivering intervention sessions and providing pastoral support. This school provides outstanding support for its students and is looking for a support superstar to join the team.
Job Role:
- Supporting on a 1-2-1 basis within small classes of students who are at risk of permanent exclusion
- Having a good understanding of challenging behaviours and SEMH needs
- Working as a Support Worker / Behavioural Support Assistant
- Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and beneficial for students
- Breaking down barriers to communication and managing behaviours
- Outstanding support form an established team of Teaching Assistants and Support Workers
- Access to ongoing training and CPD
- Working with an outstanding Teacher and Pastoral Team
