THE ROLE
As a School Support Worker/Teaching Assistant at the school in Barnsley, you will offer more than classroom support. You will make connections, develop relationships and lead our pupils on the path to a bright future. This will include working under the guidance of a teacher to support the academic and personal development of children throughout the school day. This includes:
Getting the classroom ready for lessons
Listening to children read
Helping those who need extra support
Preparing resources
Completing records
Leading small and whole class group work
THE CANDIDATE
Experience in a school or similar setting
Experience working with children/ young people with SEN / SEMH needs would be beneficial
MUST be educated with GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
NVQ L3 qualification or working towards
Drivers license is essential
SALARY/ HOURS
A great salary is on offer of £18,500 - £20,158.87 actual annual salary working 33 hours per week Mon-Fri term time only + 5 inset days + amazing benefits. Salary will be paid over 12 months and will only include working term time so you will have almost 2 months off every summer!
