We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Boston, Lincolnshire. This is a temporary position with the potential to become permanent after 12 weeks, offering the successful candidate an opportunity to inspire and engage students in the wonders of science.
Day-to-day of the role:- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality science lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
- Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages scientific inquiry and discovery.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and tailored support to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and integrate best practices in science education.
- Participate in department meetings, school training, and professional development opportunities.
- Engage with students to inspire a passion for science and support their academic and personal growth.
- A recognised teaching qualification in Science or a related subject.
- Experience teaching science at the secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for science education.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate instruction.
- Commitment to professional development and staying current with educational research.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team of science educators.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the school and students.
