Science Teacher Required!

We are looking for an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join our secondary school after the Easter holidays to cover long-term on-going sickness absence, delivering inspiring and engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4. This is an excellent opportunity for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to develop their career in a supportive environment. The successful candidate must have experience teaching in a secondary school setting and hold QTS or QTLS.

• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality Science lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
• Foster a love for Science and encourage students to engage with the subject matter.
• Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
• Maintain discipline through well-focused teaching and through positive and productive relationships.
• Participate in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, and whole school training events.
• Be committed to your own professional development and willing to engage in further training and development opportunities.

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or QTLS (Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills).
• Experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of the Science curriculum across KS3 and KS4.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to ensure student engagement.
• Commitment to inclusive education and differentiated teaching methods.
• Must have a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
