About the role
Vision for Education are proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Truro who, due to school expansion, are seeking to recruit a Teacher of Science for a permanent vacancy. We welcome applications from teachers with secondary education experience.
The main purpose of the role is to provide inspirational and outstanding teaching whilst nurturing a safe, secure, and caring educational environment. The role will comprise of planning and teaching Science lessons across a Key Stages 3 & 4.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Planning and delivery of high-quality teaching & learning that follows the national curriculum
- Meet the pastoral needs of young people
- Form positive relationships with young people, parents/carers, and colleagues
- Show pro-active commitment to continuing personal professional development
- Meeting the individual educational needs of young people
Requirements include:
- Teaching qualification with QTS / QTLS
- The ability to engage and motivate young people
- Understanding multi agency working and collaboration with parents/carers
- A passion for making a difference to the lives and education of young people
