An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Science Technician to join our busy Science Faculty. You will be joining a very strong team who enjoy working together to develop a love of learning in our students.
The Science Technician will support teaching and learning in the Faculty by preparing resources for KS3 to KS5 lessons and conducting practical demonstrations.
The successful candidate will have:
- an academic qualification, at least to A Level or equivalent, in either biology, chemistry or physics;
- good organisational skills, patience, flexibility, creativity and an ability to build positive relationships with young people;
- the ability to provide assistance and advice in meeting the practical needs of the science curriculum;
- practical experience within a school environment would be advantageous.

Salary: Scale 5 (point 13 to 15) (GBP32,205- GBP33,204 pro-rata)
Hours: 35 hours a week, 39 weeks a year (term time only plus 5 Inset Days)
Ideally, candidates should possess a good working knowledge of COSHH & CLEAPSS in order to maintain compliance with Health and Safety Regulations at the school.
