About the Schools:
Smile Education is collaborating with two small alternative provision settings in Dudley, each with a unique and supportive environment, to recruit a dedicated and robust teacher capable of teaching Maths and Biology. These schools cater to a combined total of 70 students, with one campus accommodating 40 students and the other hosting 30. Each class consists of a maximum of 10 students, all of whom have their individual 1:1 support in place.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging Maths and Biology lessons to students who may benefit from alternative provision. The successful candidate will be provided with the schemes of work for both subjects but will be responsible for the marking of student work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Maths and Biology to small class sizes with individual 1:1 support.
- Complete marking and assessments.
- Commit to a full-time teaching role.
- Collaborate with the supportive team at both campuses.
- Embrace the unique environment of alternative provision education.
Requirements:
- Recent experience in a similar teaching role.
- Enthusiasm for creating an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.
- Flexibility to adapt to the individual needs of students.
- A commitment to full-time teaching.
- A passion for Maths and Biology.
Working Hours:
The school day is slightly shorter, with two days finishing at 2 PM and the other three days concluding at 3 PM. The two campuses are conveniently located just half a mile apart.
