PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
We are seeking a hands-on imaging data analyst with experience in image data preparation and standardization and who ideally has coding experience. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to start or to continue a career in industry in which their contribution will be important to achieve sustainable global food production.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Use analytical tools for image processing, analysis, quantification, and interactive image visualization from high throughput data sets to identify novel herbicide mode of action
- Deliver Data Analysis pipelines to extract information about novel herbicide mode of action from proprietary datasets combining coding with image analysis, phenotype fingerprinting and clustering methods
- Advise and support cross-functional projects on quantitative analysis of image data
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Required
- Experience in image Data Analysis and interpretation gained within a biological discipline (BSc/MSc + experience or PhD)
- Image Data Analysis using commercial or open-source software packages. FiJi macro programming
- R /coding knowledge
- Experience in Batch and parsing scriptwriting
Desirable
- Experience handling large datasets and automated workflows.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Pro-active, resourceful and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to prioritize project timelines and daily activities across multiple projects.
- Effective communication skills both in writing and at meetings with both specialists and non-specialists.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
