Job summary
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a SPHN School Nurse to join our Brighton and Hove School Nurse team.
The post is for up to 0.6 wte - term time only is available.
The post holder will work within a skill mixed team to promote the health and wellbeing of children and young people, aged 5 - 19 and their families.
The post holder will establish links with communities, schools, Primary Care Colleagues, and the wider Children's workforce to develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care and public health developments in the community, liaising and collaborating with other agencies as required.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as a SCPHN School nurse with an allocated caseload within the Brighton and Hove area.
The post holder will identify health needs by undertaking a assessment in partnership children ;young people and their families in order to deliver an individual programme of care, delegating support as appropriate.
The post holder will maintain the safety and protection of children, by following the Pan-Sussex Child Protection procedures and their local application, develop services which promote the safety and well-being of children and participate in meetings, discussions, and case conferences as appropriate.

Work with the team to deliver the commissioned 5-19 healthy child programme.
To identify health needs by undertaking a health assessment in order to deliver an individual programme of care.

Qualifications and professiobnal registration

  • Evidence of a range of clinical competencies
