Scrum Master - IT - Financial Services

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Scrum Master to join a leading Financial Services firm in London. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in driving successful software development through Agile practices. You will be responsible for fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment, ensuring adherence to Agile principles, and empowering developers to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate and lead daily Scrum meetings, sprint planning sessions, and backlog refinement sessions.
• Champion Agile methodologies throughout the development lifecycle.
• Coach and mentor development teams on best practices for user stories, estimation, and task management.
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to ensure clear project vision and backlog prioritisation.
• Remove impediments that hinder team progress and ensure effective communication across all levels.
• Foster a continuous improvement culture within the Agile team.
• Track project progress and metrics, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Stay up-to-date on the latest Agile trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager, preferably within the Financial Services industry.
• In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and XP.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and best practices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
• A passion for Agile and a desire to continuously improve processes.
