We are looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to join our team in Abbey Wood. This is a unique position with a variety of responsibilities to enable you to effectively support the Site Safety Lead, as well as liaising, coordinating, and communicating efficiently with a number of contractors, project teams and team leads.

Initially, you may be expected to attend more frequently to familiarise yourselves with the site, the team, and your role.
What you’ll be doing
- Support the Site Safety Lead by conducting site specific reviews, investigations and audits and supporting assurance activities. Support the Site Safety Lead by arranging Site Safety Tours, review, audit, and update Site Memorandum of Understanding and providing metrics for the Safety Committee as required.
- Review site health, safety and environmental performance via first party audit and provide an annual update on compliance with policy arrangements.
- Manage enquiries and act as focal point on Health and Safety matters on site, providing advice to stakeholders across the business.
- Produce site risk assessment, maintain and review/reissue as and when there are significant changes.
- Assist in embedding compliance of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and regulations across the site.
- Provide metrics for performance reporting (Key Performance Indicators) and manage dashboard reporting and risk registers.
- Assist in the development of corporate communications in relation to Health and Safety messages.
- Produce, update, maintain site specific Instructions, induction briefs and a web page.
- Deliver Health Safety and Environmental Induction briefs and record staff attendance on central Occupational, Health, Safety and Environmental, Training Planning and Monitoring Register.
- Attend Occupational, Health, Safety and Environmental Working Group.
- Attend Defence Equipment and Support, Safety, Health, Environmental and Fire Committee.
