Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority
Seasonal Activities and Events Ranger
Full Time (37 hours per week) – Fixed Term: Approx. ASAP - 03/11/2024
Does the idea of working within the UK’s only national park consisting largely of coastal landscapes appeal to you? A new opportunity exists to join our Regenerative Tourism department as a Seasonal Activities and Events Ranger, working in some of Pembrokeshire’s most popular and beautiful locations. You will represent the Authority, delivering Activities and Events throughout the National Park, with a focus on connecting with nature and Pembrokeshire’s cultural heritage.
As part of the role you will plan, promote and deliver activities to increase the enjoyment and understanding of the National Park whilst increasing income generation for the Authority. Work with the Activities & Events Manager to diversify the work of the seasonal ranger team and support the wider Regenerative Tourism Team, including larger scale events and supervising and leading volunteers.
Develop activities to attract and foster confidence within diverse audiences, enabling them to experience and enjoy the outdoors safely. Also create digital content for marketing and promotion and keep accurate daily records of all work and activities. You will have the use of a PCNPA vehicle for transport around the National Park and for day-to-day duties.
We are looking for someone who has:
  • Knowledge of National Park purposes and special qualities and enthusiasm for the natural environment.
  • Proven experience in a customer facing role.
  • A passion for engaging children in learning through activity.
  • Good ICT skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Salary and Benefits:
A salary of £23,500 to £23,893 per annum (to be reviewed under pay and grading review), minimum 25 days holiday rising to 30 days plus public holidays, generous local government pension scheme, great flexible working arrangements and career development opportunities.
