We are currently looking to recruit for the position of Seasonal Gardener within our Open Spaces Department. The post is offered on a Fixed Term Contract until 31 October 2024, working full-time 37 hours per week Monday to Friday.
The role reports directly to the Open Spaces Supervisors and Line Manager who leads and manages the GYS Open Spaces team across the Great Yarmouth Borough.
You will be responsible for undertaking all aspects of grounds maintenance, operating and maintaining the appropriate machinery, keeping area and sites tidy and free from debris/litter, shrub pruning, hedge cutting, weed spraying, working in gardens, highway verges, parks and other open spaces.

About You
The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a team with a minimum of supervision and be able to carry out physical tasks associated with the role. With a knowledge of Open Spaces service and experience in using ground maintenance equipment. You will be able to confidently carry out verbal and written instructions, with the ability to follow Health and Safety instructions essential for the role.
