Situated in the Ogwen valley, our hostel offers an entirely distinctive workplace, far from the ordinary office setting. At YHA Idwal cottage, we believe in valuing our Team Members and ensuring they have access to great perks:
Competitive hourly rate: We offer a pay of £10.42 per hour - this will increase to £11.44 from March 2024 in line with National Living Wage. This role is flexible, working between 25 and 42 hours a week. Initially until the end of September, there may be a chance to extend the contract or make permanent later in the year.
The vacancy is live out only. The hostel does not have on-site staff accommodation. You will need your own transport.

The Role: Your Key Contributions
As a Hospitality Team Member, you'll play a crucial role in making our guests' experiences memorable. Your efforts will be at the core of our mission to provide exceptional hospitality, regardless of your background or experience.
Your Responsibilities
Providing warm hospitality and great customer service to all our customers, members and guests.
Working on reception and offering insights about the hostel and the local area, preference is given to applicants with an interest in mountaineering and with local knowledge
Utilising our systems for efficient guest check-ins and check-outs and beverage sales and service.
Carrying out cleaning and housekeeping duties, ensuring a comfortable and clean environment for all guests.
