Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our dynamic team. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity in the absence of regular teaching staff, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment for students.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a classroom in the absence of the regular teacher
- Implement pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students remain on task
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
- Manage student behavior effectively, promoting a respectful and disciplined environment
- Liaise with teaching staff to ensure a smooth transition of learning in their absence
- Provide support to students in understanding and completing tasks
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and behavior
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a school setting or with secondary school students is advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to different subject areas and follow lesson plans effectively
- Strong classroom management skills
