About the school

The International School is a British curriculum school that opened in Mohammed Bin Zayed City in September 2014. The school is the first to be opened by the Bin Omeir Foundation and is located on a large site in a popular residential area that is mainly home to Emirati families, but which also offers a number of British curriculum schools.

The school offers an enriched version of the National Curriculum for England, adapted to ADEK requirements and to the needs of Emirati and expatriate students. IGCSE and A Level qualifications are offered at secondary school level.

The size and appearance of the school is modern, colourful and impressive. Classrooms are suitably furnished and resourced.  Facilities includes study areas, a large library, two large performance halls, science laboratories, vibrant canteens, state-of-the-art media technology suites, and a sound-proof music suite.

Teacher Requirements

BEd in English OR BA in English OR related degree plus PGCE with related teaching experience
Strong experience teaching the English National Curriculum is essential
Experience working with students whom English is not their first language is preferred
Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child
A high level of professionalism and consideration of the well-being of children
