AddressNow Education are delighted to be working in partnership with a Pupil Referral Unit in Salford who require a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to work in their provision on a long term and full time basis. The right candidate may have the option to become permanent.
The Pupil Referral Unit is a specialist setting for pupils who have significant Social, Emotional and Behavioural difficulties.
It offers a therapeutic education environment for students who have difficulty accessing traditional forms of secondary education.
Staff aim to work together to break the cycle of educational under achievement, a lack of engagement with the aim of re engaging students back into education or training.
They have a relentless determination to help every young person who comes through the doors to succeed.
This role would be ideal for anyone who has an interest in working with young people who have some Special Educational Needs such as SEMH, Autism, ADHD, Complex and Challenging Behaviour.
School based experience is not necessary, it could be that you have worked as a Sports Coach, Residential Care Worker, Foster Carer or Youth Worker and have an interest in education.
