Supply Desk are currently recruiting on behalf of a Secondary School in Basingstoke who are looking to recruit a Maths Teacher to start September 2024. This will be a temporary position (with the potential to go permanent), where you will be teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4 in a secondary school that was graded “Good” in all areas in their latest Ofsted inspection.
Overview:
Supply Desk is currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Maths Teacher for a Secondary School in the Basingstoke area. This position begins in September on a long-term contract, with the potential for a permanent role. The successful candidate will teach Maths to students in KS3 and KS4, working within a supportive department. The school is open to considering non-specialist Maths teachers with experience teaching Maths at the secondary level.

The School is a mixed Secondary School based in Basingstoke for students aged from 11 to 16 years with around 1400 students in total. The School comes with a Good reputation and has a supportive SLT that cares deeply for the Schools values. The school also has free parking onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
– Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in accordance with the school’s curriculum and policies.
– Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
– Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
– Establish a positive classroom environment conducive to learning and personal development.
– Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a collaborative learning community.
Requirements:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is desired.
– Degree in Mathematics or related field.
– Overseas trained teachers with experience will be considered
– Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.
– Experience working with secondary school students is desirable but not essential.
