Secondary Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

1. Implementing individualized learning plans and adapting materials to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN.
2. One-on-One Support: Provide focused support to students with specific learning needs, helping them overcome challenges and achieve academic and personal milestones.
3. Collaboration: Work closely with teaching assistants, parents, and external professionals to develop and implement effective strategies for supporting students with SEN.
4. Observation and Reporting: Observe and record student progress, behaviours, and achievements, and communicate this information to the teaching team and parents regularly.
5. Promoting Inclusivity: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported in their unique learning journeys.
6. Assistive Technology: Familiarize yourself with and utilize assistive technology and resources to enhance the learning experience for students with SEN.

Requirements:

• QTS Qualification
• Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable
• Available to work part or full full time hours (8:30am - 3:30pm, 5 days a week during term time)
• Clean UK driving licence and business insurance is desirable
• Relevant qualifications or training in Special Education or a related field
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational development of children with SEN
